ARC: Meet Me at Midnight/ The New Husband

Hi everyone!

I have 2 ARCs to leave a few comments on.

Photos by Goodreads

I received a copy of this from Edelweiss and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I really liked the story here, but I got pretty frustrated with Sidney towards the end. She never gave him a chance at all. He was so kind to her and she continued to look for ways to destroy it.

The whole plot with Lindsey seemed wasted. Sidney never told him that’s why she didn’t trust him and when she talked with Lindsey they both just automatically knew what was the reason they didn’t get along but just immediately got over it. The ending was nice but I wish we would have got more of their lives in the last chapter.

I received this from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my review.

This is not my usual kind of story but it was available instantly so I took a chance. It was crazy how many people had been fooled by this man and the lengths he had went to. It definitely kept me flipping the pages

What are you reading? What have you loved recently?

ARC: The Honey Don’t List and Finding Him

Hi everyone! I have two ARC today.

Photos from Goodreads

I received this from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the aspect of this book. It was like Chip and Joanna gone wrong. The overall story was not so much. The assistants should have had a cute love story, but I never felt the chemistry. It all seemed so forced. As far as the main couple, they just made no sense. The ending really didn’t really explain what happened with them. It just was all very rushed at the end

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley. I have absolutely adored every book by Rachel I have read. She is a fabulous storyteller, but this book just wasn’t for me. I don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t connect with either character. I think the set up for the story was great. Maybe it was that I just don’t get into super sad stories? I don’t know but I found myself dragging and struggling to finish. I will still continue to read everything she writes though, because even though this story was not for me, all of the others were.

ARC: Tweet Cute

I received a copy of this from the publisher and Edelweiss.

What a cute, sweet story. This was such a fun concept and an adorable HEA.

Most of the book is someone being misunderstood and the resolution of each instance was nice. It all came together at the end

It shows how hard the expectations are to be a teen and what people expect from you, as well as what people expect from themselves.

I thought the author did a very good job of bringing the story full circle for not just the main characters but the parents too

ARC post (plus 1 owned)

This is where I wish I was today! This weather is keeping me under the weather at this time.

I have managed to read 3 books for far and they were all good ones.

Photos by Goodreads

I received a copy of this from the publisher and Edelweiss. I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy this one after loving the first one so much. These characters weren’t front and center in the first book but I was wrong. I adored Dominic and Rosie and rooted for them to work things out. It was an accurate portrayal of marriage. I truly enjoyed all of the characters and their banter. My only complaint was the love making scenes and language during those scenes are a little graphic. I just felt it was a little unnecessary.

I received a copy of this from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. It is book 2 of this story and the action didn’t stop. I adored Ferdy and am so glad for him and Eleanora. This book keeps you guessing whose side everyone is on up until the end. I will look forward to the next book to see what happens with Ferdy, Eleanora and Karl

This book was totally not what I was expecting! It has been sitting on my shelves forever and I finally read it. I expected a light fluffy romance, but got so much more. Romance, royalty, mystery. The princess and future queen was stood up on her wedding day. She decides she has questions that need to be answered and set out to find them, while finding love along the way

Looking forward to lots of new reads this year. I hope to share them with you

Year End Catch up ARC edition

Hi everyone! Long time since I have been here! I have missed you all terribly, but find it harder and harder to keep up. I have small children and work a full time job and I just feel so worn down. I have neglected this blog and for that I am sorry.

I wanted to get out all the ARC reviews I am behind on by the end of the year, so without further ado:

Photos by Goodreads

I received this from Edelweiss and Penguin. I didn’t love this book or hate it. I was very uneventful to me. It took me over half of the book to realize these were some of the same people from her last book. Maddie was so spunky in the other book and so boring in this one. Overall just so so for me. I seem to have a hard time getting into her books. The characters in this book are in their 50s and are so insecure and act like teens

I received this ebook from the publisher and Edelweiss! I am so excited to be back in this world. I have adored this friend group and the non stop excitement. I already wish the next book was out.

Evie has learned that she is not who she thinks she is. Luc loves her even more and is calling in favors. Everyone is preparing and hoping for the best.

I received this from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review. Another marvelous book by Rachel with a sweet love story. The ending was a little sad but I adored the brothers and wished we could have enjoyed them together more. Rachel’s books are always wonderful and I am honored to have read it

I received a copy from Netgalley and the publisher In exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed the family aspect and the hockey storyline. Both were damaged and looking to protect themselves but find love instead. The language during the love making scenes was a little unnecessary to me but other than that, a great story

I received this from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed this story. Two people who thought the worst of themselves made something beautiful. They learned so much of love and growing up. Melanie writes such entertaining books and I look forward to reading more.

I received a copy of this in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed this book, but found myself skimming over several parts because I felt there was a lot of detail. I loved Jameson and Everley. He was so steadfast even when she was hard to love. The ending gave me hope

I received a copy of this in exchange for my honest review. Another sweet book by Sariah! Ember and Bash were in love in high school. Their parents meet and also fall in love and get married. Bash leaves so his father can be happy with his new wife but he never gets over Ember. This is a story of two very hurt and damaged people working their way back to each other.

I have read many other books these last few months and I have given a brief review on each over at Goodreads. You can also find them cross posted to Twitter if you feel so inclined to look.

I hope you all are finding wonderful books to read over the holidays and I wish you each a Merry Christmas!

How many books??

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Honestly I just needed a break. I have put aside my blog and twitter and just read. It was so nice to just enjoy this time.

Here I am though and I have a lot to catch up on. Hope some of these make it on your lists!!

(Pics from Goodreads)

I received a copy of this from Edelweiss and TorTeen. Wow! I enjoyed this book just as much as the first. I love the crew and how well they are all gelling. I am shocked by the Queen and by the prince In how different they are. The Stormlord has become very unstable and I look forward to seeing how they all come together to defeat him. An excellent story I look forward to continuing. My only complaint was that there were no breaks in the story that let you know when you were changing scenes and therefore the change was so abrupt sometimes it was confusing that it just all blended together.

But I am sure that this will be fixed before the final edit

Very interesting and highly imaginative story. I really enjoyed Callahan. I feel that Everley did him wrong at the end. It seemed he constantly fought for her trust. It’s hard to determine who is good and bad in this book.I do hope Everley and Callahan stay together.

I received this book from Netgalley and Skyscape in exchange for my honest review. I thought this was a solid book 2. I really hope Everley and Callahan can make it work in this next book. The magical aspects are pretty cool and I love how everyone is coming together. I am hoping to see Markham defeated

I really enjoyed this one. Although not as good as Illuminae, it was a great story with cool characters. My only complaint was that with so many different speakers sometimes I got confused with who was talking. I hope more things are discovered and solved in the next book.

I received a copy of this from the publisher. I really enjoyed the premise of the story. I loved the dynamic between the four best friends. Emma was so hateful throughout the book and even though it is explained why, it just felt so unnecessary most of the time. There were also a lot of errors(words duplicated and extra words) that really bothered me that caused me to drop my rating.

This was so unexpected and awesome!! I didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed this so much! Rhen, Harper and Grey were so much fun. I was so glad for Harper to go back and I am so proud of the ending. Can’t wait for the next one

I received this from MacMillian and Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. This book was amazing. I really enjoyed following Grey and Lia Mara. They went through many trials and watching them grow was nice. What a major cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one. There is a lot of character development from multiple characters that is nice. I can wait to see what plays out with Grey, Rhen and Harper next

Elle’s books are my weakness! I just can’t put one down when I start it. I have adored all of these books and the romances in them. Brenna and Jake’s story was no different. Please read all of Elle’s books😍

I received this from Netgalley and Random House Children’s in exchange for my honest review.

Maia was the only daughter of a tailor who had dreams of becoming the imperial tailor. She could not because she was a girl, but through twist and turns she ended up in a competition to become the imperial tailor. She finds love, heartbreak and much more on her journey. It ends leaving you wishing you already had the next book

Being completely honest, I struggled with finishing this one. It wasn’t because it wasn’t good, it was. I just never picked it up. I was sad for certain parts and glad for certain parts and I loved what the king did for Tilla. A good series overall.

I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for my honest review. It was a short, cute story. I would have loved to see a few more dates. We only got to see 2 of 30 lol. The main male character was super rude in the beginning but ended up being a nice guy. She had amazing friends and I would love to hear more about them

I absolutely adored this book! It doesn’t matter what Rachel writes I am there for it. I loved all the characters in this story and how it played out was unexpected. You fall in love with every single one. Grant and Emerson are amazing

Not quite as good as the first but amazing. It was hard hitting with some of the emotions at the end. It gives all of our favorites a wonderful ending. I hate to leave this world!

I received a copy of this from Galbadia Press in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute, fast read. It explores the relationships between mothers and daughters and also refinding yourself. My only complaint was that the character of Lisa said “aww” to much. Other than that it was a very enjoyable read

Triggers: bullying, slut shaming

If those bother you, this is not the book for you.

I felt so torn reading this book, it was like a train wreck you can’t make your self not watch. Molly had a relationship with 2 brothers that did not end well. Due to the backlash and subsequent bullying, she attended a different school for her senior year, only to come back as soon as it was over and do a complete repeat. She didn’t learn any lesson and betrays even her friends. I understood her some and truly was invested to see who she chose.

I liked the way this book ended. It was nice to see everyone grow up a little bit and not make the same mistakes. I was also nice to see them realize you should be true to yourself. A nice ending

Whew!!! Finally!

How you enjoy!

Round Up(the big one)

Literally… sorry I have been so absent. We went on vacation!!

I absolutely hated to come back. I enjoy the lazy vibe of vacations and the stress of work and routines drive me batty.

I have so many books to show you!

15 books!!

Pictures from Goodreads

Colleen’s books are always amazing and they speak to your heart. This book is action packed and I can honestly say I was wrong about people more than once in this book. This book makes you look inside yourself and forgiveness

I received a copy of this from HarperCollins and Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. This was such a fun story! Travis was a little jerky at times but it made the story sweeter to see how Georgie broke down his walls. They both grew up so much and it was a perfect ending for them. Lots of steamy romance too

What an awesome series! The ending was sad and left me wondering. I found this one a little harder to keep up with and the stories kind of too similar at certain points but still a great story. She loved so fiercely!

So, honestly I didn’t enjoy book 2 and I didn’t want to read this. My overdrive got it in though, so I thought ehh why not. I am glad I did. It was so much better than book 2. I loved the romance with Scarlett and Julian. I also liked Legend and Tella. For some reason I still didn’t just fall in love with this but a much better book than Legendary.

I received a copy of this from Netgalley and Skyscape. What an awesome story. I loved Matt and Parker. I finished this in one day and couldn’t put it down. I even loved Jagger’s story.

My only complaint….

Right in the middle of a very dramatic scene, several pages were missing. I missed some very important stuff on pages 247-248. I tried everything but the pages just weren’t there. It went from her sending a text to being in the middle of a very important situation. I hope this is fixed soon.

Another amazing book by Rachel!!!!!!

These books are so much fun. I laughed all the way through. The mystery was good, but the laughter is the best. Dayna is a perfect, zany heroine! Her friends are fabulous. I laughed at every call to the tip line!

I received a copy of this from Penguin and Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review. This one was just so so for me, I kinda got tired of them constantly denying their feelings and being mean. It just didn’t even make sense part of the time. I enjoyed Alexa and was glad for the hea.

So I’m going to be honest when I say I don’t read many books by men(something I am trying to change). I had seen this one around and thought way not?? A really cool story. I liked the little romances and totally didn’t see the betrayal. I can’t wait to read the next one

Another Jamie and Charlotte story. Charlotte is trying very hard to change. Jamie is back and all is going well until Charlotte runs again. The ending wasn’t my favorite

I have wondered about this series forever. It didn’t seem like my type but I kept seeing the great reviews, and oh my gosh I finished this in one day. My heart was broken, destroyed and put back together in one day. I couldn’t put this down!!

I love Hanna and Nik. They are just as awesome as Kady and Ezra. This book is so exciting. I have being completely absorbed! I hated some of the losses but loved watching these guys kick butt

What an amazing series! I suggest everyone go read it now. Another awesome couple in Rhys and Asha! This group is awesome and I loved chief Grant as well. He definitely stepped up to be a dad to them all. I have been heartbroken many times thinking my favorites were gone. This story kept me completely absorbed from start to finish and I am so proud of them all!

I received a copy of this from Netgalley and St Martin’s Press in exchange for my honest review.

I’m not sure how to rate this one. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. It just seemed to be missing something for me. The grandmother was my favorite character and her friend Ana. Maybe that was it….I enjoyed the secondary characters more than the main ones??

I received a copy of this from the author. A cute, fun story. Very fast paced with a sweet hea. Great job!

Lots of twists and turns!!! Markiska! That ending was wild! I can’t wait to dive into the last book. Miles creeps me out

All in all some really great books! I am trying to read a few outside of my norm and boy have they paid odd this year. What do you think of these books?

Round Up

Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful day. Trying to read and get through all these books while silently buying more to add 😂

This time I had some pretty good ones and one DNF. But…

It is the week of gorgeous covers!!!!

I have adored each and every one of these books. Warner is amazing! He is the perfect blend of strong, broken and loving. So many questions answered and the love they have that keeps bringing them back together took my breath a couple of times. I am glad to see a little happiness before the war comes. Kenji is hilarious

I received a copy of this from Montlake Romance and Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I have never read a book by Sariah I didn’t like and this was no exception. A sweet romance about two people who had suffered and needed to see love. Logan was so funny and they really brought out the best in each other. Another win for Sariah!!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. It started out a little slow but everyone seemed to love it.

I really enjoyed it!! The ending was totally unexpected and I can’t wait to get to book 2 and see how that happened

I absolutely can’t wait to read the last book. This was so exciting and I finally got a little romance. There was so much going on I couldn’t put it down. The way she effortlessly switches from the past to the present is amazing. Sometime in books this wears me out, but I have found the opposite true in this case. I can’t stop reading

I received a copy of this from Edelweiss and Sourcebooks in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted to love this.I had owned Furyborn for a while and when I got approved for Kingsbane, I had to jump right in.

Furyborn was long and I didn’t really like most of the characters. The ending was pretty good so I decided to try Kingsbane. Kingsbane was more of the same.

Super long and tedious. And again I disliked both of the main characters. They were cold and rude. They were awful to everyone who loved them. They claimed to love someone only to be kissing someone else on the next page. They were both very selfish in everything they did.

I made it to halfway and decided to give up.

Many will love this but it just wasn’t for me

This Month’s Round Up

Hello Everyone!! I have been reading and had not noticed I have not shared all my reviews! I have quite a few this time and some really good ones!

I received this from Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

This was very exciting and I couldn’t wait to finish it. Lots of action and a second chance romance. I am so glad I read it and will definitely read the next one.

Possible triggers: past drug abuse, past child abuse

A really different story. It had a very interesting plot and I enjoyed the hea.

A marriage therapist and a divorce lawyer meet when she takes over his office while he is on vacation. This book was cute and had a lot of funny banter. There were a few things I felt were not necessary but overall an interesting story

I received a copy of this from Berkeley and Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.

I adore Helen’s representation of autism, especially after reading how personal it is for her. Everyone is different and it is wonderful to see how important understanding and kindness is. Quan is a favorite character. My only fault is the amount of language. It seemed at one point to be on every page. I felt it unnecessary

I received this from Gallery,Threshold, Pocket books and Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

There is a big wedding and the whole wedding party gets food poisoning and the only 2 who don’t are the brides twin and the grooms brother who don’t like each other. They end up taking the free honeymoon together and fall in love. I have heard such good things about Christina’s books but the only other one I have read was not my favorite. This one was so much fun!! The extending family members also made up a good cast.

What a cute book! Totally didn’t go in the direction I expected and I am so glad. Daisy was so fun and Miles was adorable. I am glad Ellie was redeemed a little too.

I absolutely adored the first book and was super excited to jump in to this one. It did not disappoint! The world was so exciting. I need Jude and Cardan to be together and stop whatever it is they are doing. And that ending??? What in the world?

This book was super long and it just kind of drug on for me. I don’t really feel invested in any of the characters personally. They all seem pretty selfish. We go back and forth between Rielle and Elliana the whole book, every other chapter. I don’t know if that played a part in my general let down of this book. I do plan to read the second book because I received a review copy and hope for the best

Ahhh….where to start!!! Taylor is absolutely amazing in the way she tells a story. She has so many characters and she gives them each a story and then manages to make everyone’s story come together. She makes you feel like you know them and you are going through things with them. You won’t be able to put it down. This wasn’t better than the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Whether because i had such high standard after that book or the fact that it was so many characters written in interview style. It was still a wonderful story and the writing style sucks you in from page one. Amazing!!

Whew!! That was a lot to catch up on. Sorry it took so long. I will try to do better next time.

Wrap Up

Hi!!! I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am so ready for it. This week I read 3 books and boy were they wonderful! I hope you will give them a chance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

This is not usually the kind of book I read, but after seeing it everywhere and all the 5 star reviews, I had to have it! All I can say is wow!! I was totally absorbed through the whole thing. I couldn’t put it down. The writing seemed effortless and each page was so powerful. She took so many different stories and tied them together to create a pure masterpiece. This is definitely a memorable story

This cover is gorgeous and the writing even more so. I need all her books now!!

It took me a little while to get into this book. It could have been because I just finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo😍 but now I am super excited. I enjoy all of the different gang elements and how ruthless it is. There are so many players and elements that I can’t wait to see what happens next!

More gorgeous covers and an all girl gang? Count me in

i received this from Netgalley and HarlequinTeen in exchange for my honest review. This book was so much fun! The gangs, especially the girl gang, omertàs, magical cards, all of it was so exciting. I have no idea who to trust at this point but I hope Enne and Levi’s groups finally come out ahead. I can’t wait for the next book

All in all, a great book week! I hope yours is the same😊
